“We’re praying for positive results,” Nevvan said, as she anxiously waited for the medical team to give them answers. “We’re hoping the results don’t require her to be hospitalized.”
Braelynn’s care team at Children’s of Alabama is doing everything they can to support her through these difficult moments, but for Nevvan, the worry never fades. It’s the constant balancing act of managing both her children’s health, her own emotions, and the uncertainties that come with every new treatment and diagnosis. It will be a big step forward.”
The road ahead is still long—Braelynn will continue taking seven chemo pills a day, and she will need monthly scans to ensure the leukemia stays in remission. But there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, and the family remains hopeful. “She’s so strong,” Nevvan says. “I can see the progress in her every day. There’s no doubt in my mind she’ll make it through.”
